Baby Fever

Baby Fever (n) / The obsession with and/or about babies, anything relating to babies, or the desire to have babies.  [yes, this definition is entirely made up]

Before anyone gets too excited... no, Dustin and I aren't having a baby. [not now]

BUT baby fever is definitely going around!  A number of my friends have recently found out that they are pregnant, or have had a baby... and the rest of us are conned by the cuteness that oozes from babies.

I'm not sure what it is... most likely hormones... that causes Baby Fever, but when you catch it watch out!  Because in all seriousness, who doesn't think babies are cute?  If cuteness alone was the only deciding factor and could convince couples to have kids, there wouldn't be a single couple out there without a bus full of their own kids.

Unfortunately, the cuteness of a baby isn't the only 'selling feature'.  Babies also come in a nice little package with the doctor bills, sleepless nights, crying, spit up, drool, burps and poop!  Did I mention poop?  Smelly, brown, runny, clumpy, green, messy poop!  : )

All poop considered, baby fever can still sneak in.  And in my experience there are only a few remedies for baby fever.  1) Have a baby  2) Steal a baby... or should I say borrow?  Or... uh... babysit!?!  3) Get a puppy!  Consider it practice.  4) Work with pre-schoolers  ; )

So until Dustin and I decide [or until Dustin convinces me] to have a little poop machine of our own, I will continue to oooohh and awwww at all of the babies that I know, take care of my puppy, and continue to go to work and see all of my pre-schoolers!
